"Your period shouldn't ruin your day"

A first period is an important and exciting stage in a woman's life, but it comes with many physical and hormonal changes. I believe periods shouldn't come with pain or anxiety, at any age. With natural treatment we'll learn together to listen to your body and understand its wisdom.

I offer a different approach to period pain – instead of fighting your cycle, let's work with it, and turn these days of the month into a time of renewal and positive energy. Treatments adapted to your age and needs will help you feel comfortable with the changes in your body and carry on with your routine. Feeling relaxed and safe during your period isn't just possible – it's natural.

Nice to meet you, I'm Yotam Sraya

I'm Yotam Sraya, a licensed practitioner of Chinese and Japanese medicine specialising in period pain. Over the years I've gained extensive experience in this field and accompanied hundreds of women through their period pain. Today I combine traditional and innovative methods, including Chinese acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, herbal medicine and Tui-Na.

My comprehensive training and holistic approach let me tailor treatment to each woman, focusing on the root of the problem rather than only the symptoms. Unlike conventional approaches, I believe in natural, long-term solutions that improve your overall quality of life. My goal is simple: to help you restore balance and relieve your pain, naturally.

FAQ

Questions about Period pain

Is period pain normal?

Period pain is very common, but that doesn't mean you have to accept it. In Chinese medicine pain is a sign of imbalance – so treatment targets the root rather than silencing the pain with a pill.

How does acupuncture help with period pain?

Acupuncture improves circulation along the channels linked to the uterus and hormonal system and balances the body throughout the cycle. Combined with herbs and Tui-Na, pain decreases and cycles become more regular.

How many sessions will I need?

It's a process. A minimum of five sessions is recommended, then you review progress together. Many women feel a change within the first few cycles.

Can teenagers be treated?

Yes, from age 12, accompanied by a parent. Treatment is gentle and age-appropriate – the goal is periods without pain or anxiety.

I want to stop the pill – is this for me?

Yes. Treatment can accompany the process and help your body return to balance and regular cycles. The decision to stop the pill itself is best made with your doctor.

Does it hurt?

It shouldn't. The needles are as fine as a hair, and even finer in the Japanese style – from nothing at all to a tiny pinch.

Can Chinese medicine be an alternative to my gynaecologist's treatment?

Yes. Chinese medicine can offer an alternative to the treatment your gynaecologist suggests – if it isn't working, or if the approach doesn't feel right for you.
