I came to Yotam with joint pain in my hands that affected my daily functioning. I came on warm recommendations, even though I had never had acupuncture. After five treatments (five weeks) the pain was completely gone. What was special for me was feeling real improvement from one session to the next – every week more relief, more range of motion, less pain – until I simply noticed it wasn't there anymore. Beyond that, Yotam didn't only treat the specific pain I came with but looked at the body as a whole. I felt an overall improvement in energy, balance and general wellbeing. Yotam is a professional, precise and exceptionally attentive acupuncturist. In every session he checks in depth, explains patiently and tailors the treatment exactly to what the body needs. You feel he truly cares and wants to see results. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, with a full sense of trust throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone dealing with pain and looking for truly professional, quality care.

Simply amazing. I contacted Yotam after an injury just before my wedding, very sceptical about Chinese medicine. Yotam was super available and came to me the same day I reached out. I got acupuncture and lots of tips and aids for recovery, and after every session I could feel a change. Highly recommended!

I warmly recommend Yotam! Very attentive and patient with his patients. He knows how to diagnose the problem and treat it properly. I came to him after a year of jaw muscle pain and difficulty opening my jaw, and after a few sessions the pain decreased a lot and my jaw opening improved wonderfully!

Yotam treats in a focused, practical and effective way after assessing the patient's physical, emotional and mental state. During treatment he checks the changes taking place and keeps going deeper, asking how you feel and what's needed. I personally greatly appreciate the sensitivity and dedication in Yotam's work. I highly recommend trying his treatments – they were an excellent experience for me.

Inside the treatment room

What a session with Yotam looks like

A session lasts about an hour, in a calm, light-filled room. Step by step:

  1. Listening first

    Listening first

We start by talking: what brings you, your routine, sleep, food and emotions – to understand where the problem really sits.

  2. Chinese & Japanese diagnosis

    Chinese & Japanese diagnosis

Pulse and tongue reading, plus Japanese-style abdominal palpation – that's how the exact points are chosen.

  3. Acupuncture & cupping

    Acupuncture & cupping

Ultra-fine, single-use needles and, when needed, cupping. Most people relax deeply – many fall asleep.

  4. Release, rest & advice

    Release, rest & advice

Tui-Na to release the muscles, a moment of rest – then simple advice for home and a plan for what's next.

How it works

Three steps to a balanced body

Send a message

Write to Yotam on WhatsApp or call. A short, free, no-commitment chat to see whether treatment is right for you.

In-depth diagnosis

At the first session: questions, pulse, tongue and abdominal palpation – to understand where the problem really sits, not just where it hurts.

Personal plan

Acupuncture and complementary tools, plus nutrition and lifestyle advice. After about five sessions you review progress together and decide what's next.

Nice to meet you

Yotam Sraya

I'm a licensed practitioner of Chinese and Japanese medicine, a graduate of the Reidman International College for Complementary and Integrative Medicine and a certified Tui-Na therapist. For more than five years I've treated patients in my two private clinics in Tel Aviv – in Midtown and on the Givatayim border.

Patients often arrive in pain, frustrated, sometimes hopeless. What drives me is seeing people get their lives back – work, sport, good sleep – without limits. I believe in treatment that understands why it hurts, not only silences the pain.

  • Licensed in Traditional Chinese Medicine – acupuncture, herbal medicine and Tui-Na (Reidman College)
  • Japanese acupuncture in the style of Master Kiiko Matsumoto
  • Special focus on period pain and back pain
  • Pilates instructor – a deep understanding of movement and posture

Why it works

A diagnosis that looks for the root

In Chinese medicine the complaint itself matters less than the state of the body. Four tools help read it:

Questions

Routine, sleep, food, emotions – to see where the problem sits.

Pulse

Reading three positions on each wrist reveals the state of the organs.

Tongue

Colour, coating and shape reflect what's happening inside.

Abdomen

Japanese-style reflex palpation – with feedback during the session.

FAQ

Everything you wanted to ask

Does acupuncture hurt?

It shouldn't. The needles are as fine as a hair – far thinner than a blood-test needle – and in the Japanese style even finer and more superficial. It feels like anything from nothing at all to a tiny pinch, and many people fall asleep.

How many sessions will I need?

It's a process. Yotam recommends a minimum of five sessions, then you review progress together and decide whether to continue weekly, space sessions out or finish. Acute problems usually improve faster than chronic ones.

What can Chinese medicine help with?

Among other things: back, neck, shoulder and joint pain; digestive issues; sleep problems, stress and anxiety; period pain and hormonal imbalance; allergies and breathing issues; skin conditions; and support for chronic conditions alongside medical care.

Do you treat in English?

Yes. Yotam treats in Hebrew and English – many of his patients are internationals and new immigrants living in Tel Aviv.

How long is a session?

About an hour, including diagnosis. The first session is a little longer because it includes a full intake.

How much does a session cost?

It depends on the treatment and plan. Message Yotam on WhatsApp for full details – including an introductory session.

Where are the clinics?

Yotam sees patients in two private clinics: in the Midtown complex, 150 Menachem Begin Rd., Tel Aviv – near HaShalom station and the light rail; and at 5 Ma'avar Yabok St., on the Givatayim border. Private parking available.

Does Chinese medicine replace urgent medical care?

No. In that case you can consult Yotam, and he will advise whether you should get medical care before coming in for treatment.
