Does acupuncture hurt?
Why fear of needles comes from blood tests – and why it doesn't apply to acupuncture.
Chinese acupuncture is a natural treatment in which ultra-fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at precise points along the meridians to improve blood flow, ease pain and bring the body back into balance. With Yotam Sraya in Midtown Tel Aviv, every session starts with a full Chinese-medicine diagnosis – questions, pulse, tongue and abdominal palpation – and is tailored to you.

Chinese medicine maps the body into channels – meridians – each linked to an internal organ. Palpating these channels shows what is out of balance. Points are then chosen from the diagnosis: nourish where something is lacking, disperse where there is excess or stagnation. As circulation along the channel improves, so does the organ's function.
Instead of taking a pill every time your head, stomach or back hurts, the question is why it hurts. That is why treatment also looks at habits – posture, food, sleep – with simple tools for change, so that the improvement lasts.

The whole session lasts about an hour – resting with the needles in a quiet room, plus complementary tools as needed.

Yotam's statement: there is a natural treatment for period pain – it isn't "normal".
★★★★★Yotam is simply amazing. Calm and serene, endless professionalism and incredible knowledge. I came to him after a long period of back pain from sitting too much and, like a magician, he released all the pain and stiffness. Warmly recommended – you'll leave with a healthier body and peace of mind.
★★★★★The only one who truly helped me with two problems I couldn't solve for a long time. I didn't believe he could help because I'd tried everything, but I'm the happiest person in the world that I came to him. He helped me wonderfully – and he's also an amazing person to talk to about anything.
It shouldn't. The needles are as fine as a hair – far thinner than a blood-test needle – and are inserted superficially. Most people feel at most a tiny pinch or a pleasant heaviness, and many fall asleep during the session.
Chinese medicine is a process. Yotam recommends a minimum of five sessions, then you review progress together – range of motion, sleep quality, pain level – and decide whether to continue weekly, space sessions out, or finish.
Yes. Only sterile, single-use needles are used.
